How much are the dues for the Ballard/Carlisle Historical and Genealogical Society?
       

         MEMBERSHIP DUES:  $12.00 per person, library, organization, etc.,  
                                       $15.00 per family.
                                       Entitles members to THE ROOTS DIGGER published
                                       bi-annually.

What is the "Roots Digger"?

         Roots Digger is a twice yearly publication of the Ballard/Carlisle Historical
         and Genealogical Society.  It contains member stories, articles, family
         information and other items of interest to genealogists.  
        
         It also has the queries sent in to the Corresponding Secretary so that you
         may see who possibly is tracing your family and you can get in touch with
         them.

How do I contribute to the "Roots Digger"?
         
         You may contribute information to the Roots Digger Editor by mailing in anything you wish to add to the bi-annual Roots Digger publication to Roots Digger Editor  P.O. Box 279  Wickliffe, KY 42087. 
You can also email short articles, etc by using the contact form and stating you wish it forwarded to the Roots Digger Editor. 



How do I submit a query?

         You may write your query out and mail it to BCHGS at P.O. Box 279
         Wickliffe, KY  42087  OR you can go to "Contact" on the left side of
         this page, fill in the form and submit your query electronically.

         Prior to submitting a query, please refer to our SERVICES page for important information.


How do I order books from BCHGS?

         A complete list of books and publication is provided under the heading
         of "Publications". Click on Publications to view the listing.).
        
         The form for ordering books or publications is under the heading
         "Order Form".  Print out the form, fill in the necessary information
         and mail it along with a check or money order to the address
         provided on the form.

How can I get a Death Certificate for one of my ancestors?

We have microfilm of the KY Death Certifiactes for the years 1911 - 1958
and can provide copies.  Death Certificates are $3.00 each if you provide the
name, year and certificate number.  You may obtain Death Certificate Numbers
from http://ukcc.uky.edu/vitalrec/  If we have to look up the number there is an
additional charge of $2.00.
